This month the white suit that John Lennon wore on the cover of the Beatlesí Abbey Road album sold for more than $46,000 at auction. Tailored in Paris by designer Ted Lapidus and originally given to his friend Richard Ross, the suit sold for less than its pre-action value. The suit was sold at a Braswell Galleries auction in Norwalk Connecticut which also included a blazer worn by Lennon as well as a 1972 Chrysler station wagon driven by the singer and his wife Yoko Ono when they lived in New York City.
